Last night I decided to have a mix and ended up just digging out a few older records, happened to hit record so tought Id share it. I wouldnt consider it a classics mix, just a collection of good tunes that I, and hopefully you guys, haven't heard in a while. I know some of the mixing isnt tip top, but I didnt really want to rerecord the whole thing, I think it would have lost some of the spontinaity. Anyway, hope you enjoy, feedback welcome as always.

I like this, proper trance, none of this fluffy nonsense! Reminded me of the old Nick Warren/Dave Seaman GUs tune selection-wise, which is of course a good thing And the mixing is nowhere near as bad as you make it sound!
Pretty neat mix, some minor slips in the mixing department but nothing to worry about really, and the tracks were all solid.
However, I do have to nitpick about the recording itself... it seemed to be all in mono which made the overall sound pretty flat. Also, there were some skips here and there in the recording. What did you record this with?

Yeah the recording fucked up a bit, not really sure how. Twas recorded with Soundforge and an Edirol FA-66 external soundcard so should really have been fine but Ive been having isseus with skipping on a few mixes Ive recorded recently, although me and a mate recorded a 3 hour mix the other day which doesnt have a single skip so fingers crossed the problems gone.
As for it being mono, thats entirely my fault, the mixer wasnt putting out a balanced stereo output on the master but because the laptop was hooked up to the record out and the levels on the monitor in SF seemed level I decided to just hit record and fix it later. Not the right thing to do and the left channel ended up much quieter than the right with spikes and jumps in it and the only way to fix it was to make it mono
Thanks for all the kind comments guys, glad you all enjoyed it
