hey Matt, I've always been averse to pure techno. I think its an inferior sub genre of dance music. Those old Jeff Mills, Robert Hood records make me want to puke when I try to listen to them.

I know this isn't actually true, but when I think of pure techno parties, I always imagine a crowd filled with 99% older males (like my age, where I borderline shouldn't be going out anymore) crowded together on the dance floor but not really dancing, reminiscing back on when pills were real.

And of course techno isn't just something you "get" in to. You have to receive a personal invite from someone who already technoes, and even if you get invited you can get declined. It took me three tries before I could techno, and I barely know what I'm doing.
