It was awesome to ask them stuff in Japanese and suddenly hear the reply in English because "they wanted to speak my language"
I only scared old people. And that was fun as hell. I only visited one temple while I was there (I hate old buildings) and I needed to take a leak. So I looked at the guy in the reception and asked him in moonspeak (all the lines in Italic were spoken in Japanese)
"Excuse me, where's the restroom?"
He was pale.
"No, no, I mean, I can go on my own, I'm not inviting you or any--"
He suddenly started twisting his hand as he pointed to the right.
"WAT"
"RAITO!"
"LIGHT?"
"YES, RAITO!"
"What light?"
"GO RAITO!"
"Oh, right!"
"RA-I-TO! TOIRE RAITO!"
"So the toilet is on the right?"
"YES, RAITO"
...
It turns out the restroom was on the left
