Well over a year since the last one, that once a month things really not worked oiut that well has it. Hey ho.
I didn't get to Glastonbury this year, but watching it on the tele brought a lot of fond memories. This mix is inspired by that, lots of chunky, chugging techy proggy stuff with a few acid excursions. Perfect for a sweaty, wonky evening in a field in Somerset.

Having nagged you for ages to do another proggy set, Dave, I figured I'd better give this a listen. And for the first 80 minutes or so I thought this was going to be an all-time classic. There was a slow start that smoothly curved upwards into chunky, groovy territory. Then with that James Monro remix of Nanoplex things absolutely ignited for a good twenty minutes. Even by your own high standards, that mix into the Chems re-rub of Open Up is quite exceptional. At that point I was hoping for a full-on festival close out of massive choons, so was slightly disappointed when you stripped it back into heads-down, jaw-grinding acid messiness. I wouldn't have objected to the latter section of the set if it had come after a good hour of peak time, but as it was it felt like the peak of this set was a relative flash in the pan. Still a strong effort overall, and certainly a few tunes I will be stealing, but that little section in the middle was so good it left me wanting more.
