I fear resisting the urge to cough for even the most basic things like loose food or nasal drip is preventing the body from performing its normal 'cleaning' activities.

Phew, I'm glad I'm not the only one a bit paranoid with bodily functions these days

That too. My first thought is here at home, because this is going to wreak havoc in the favelas and indigenous communities, but there's so much inequality that'll be even more unjust in the next few months

I can't either, it's become something of a running gag between me and my wife

Over-sensitivity or something after a cold. Nothing bad, but inconvenient in current situation. Luckily it's not all the time and not very loud.

Because of hay fever I don't go out too much now. Mostly it's only a few weeks for me, others suffer for months of that.

Edit:
For some countries, Australia now also, there is some light at the end of the tunnel, but that doesn't count for US, Canada and south American countries yet. Looks like that will take some time according to our researchers charts:

It's going well. I'm not too fussed over the culling because I try to avoid most humans as a general rule anyway. And it has had only minimal effects on my job, since I was mostly sitting at home writing briefs in my briefs even before they started telling us to do that.

As you're probably aware, our supreme court has its hands full trying to cover our president's sagging ass. Its only entertaining ruling of late was a decision last month holding that the state of North Carolina can pirate photos and videos of a pirate ship salvage operation to its heart's content, regardless of a federal law that tried to let copyright-holders sue the states.

As for me, I think I'll pass on the scrutiny that comes with the justices' job. I might not be quite the creeps Thomas and Kavanaugh are, but I'd still much prefer not to have people poking around in my closet, looking for skeletons. Realistically, I'm not willing to suck up to the right people nearly enough to be considered anyway.

We're handling this surprisingly well, all things considered. As of this morning we've had 6,109 confirmed cases, with nearly half of those now recovered, and only 51 deaths. We've definitely flattened the curve.

Obviously our population is lower than a lot of other countries (around 25 million), but things could have been considerably worse.

yeah the partisanship in your SC is fucking terrible. even if i didnt agree with the High Court decision letting the cardinal go free, at least i would feel it was based on the law and not bias.

ha yeah, fair call. disappointing for your fans though! which area of the law are you working in? (you know, if that's not too far in your closet lol.) i've moved into an investigative job. not a lawyer but i do get to crush lawyers in argument and have my decisions upheld by the court which is fun. but it's made me realise why most lawyers need to specialise coz these jack-of-all-trades who i come across aren't much chop vs subject matter "experts"

The vast majority of my work is patent litigation, and within that I have a bit of a sub-specialty handling appeals. You don't see many generalists trying their hands at it, both because patent law itself is a bit arcane and because you generally need to have at least some understanding of the science or engineering underlying the patents in dispute in order to argue about them competently.
