hey all
dunno if there's been a thread like this before
But I would like to be able to gather some information on graphic design schools in the uk even possibly Ireland and I don't know where to start about it.
I've found a list of schools here : list of schools graphic design uk link but dunno any info about these schools in particular, their ratings, etc
if any of you could give me a website that has info on all schools ( somewhat of a "uni-college" portal ) that would be nice
and if you have any specific suggestions about schools and areas to pick give me any info you got :p
I'm well aware I'm late in this but I'm gonna kick myself if I stay here even tough I know for sure my stay in the usa will not be over 2 years ( it better not be ) :whip:
cheers
heads up to joeh for giving me info on how the schooling system works in the uk, even if I'm still a bit confused. |

| Yup, you'll find that the London Institute schools are very well regarded here - mostly coz big creative types like to recruit from where they came from, so central st. martins, camberwell, slade (i think), lcp (possibly??). |

im very interested in this too... im 3rd year bachelor of fine art with a printmedia major but ive deferred 3rd year because we are moving from sydney to uk (basingstoke where ever the hell that is) next month some time... ideally id like to do some drawing or painting classes to start, but if we decide to stay i need to transfer into uni there.
my problem is that i have a rough idea of where basingstoke is, but no concept of time-distance from anywhere else and i wont have a car... that and not knowing anything about any of the schools anyway. im at a very good university atm (college of fine art, university of NSW) and id ideally want to go somewhere of similar standing if i do transfer...
meh. sorry i got rambling. |
