itchy's serious post for the week:
damn, damn, damn what a night. One of the best nights of my life without a doubt. I went into gas expecting (and looking forward to) a prog anthem set and boy thats what he delivered. The man began with let the good times roll, and finished with sasha's bloodlock....in my book you can't really beat that. So he started off with a half hour or so of nice breaks but they didn't really tickle my berries. then came an array of wicked tracks such as:
Jas - Soul Doing Dishes (Luke Fair Remix)
Sander Kleinenberg - My Lexicon
GusGus - David (Darren Emerson Mix)
Timo Maas - Help Me (Deep Dish Mix)
Sasha - Wavy Gravy (LNK Remix)
Sasha & JXL - Beauty Never Fades
Planet Funk - Who Said (Club Mix)
Aquaculture - Dont Play The Game
Coldplay - Clocks (Danny Howells Mix)
Danny Howells & Deep Dish / DDD (Eminem) - Nobody Listens To Techno
Lamb - Gorecki (Bill Hamel Mix)
Sasha & James Holden - Bloodlock
Mory Cante - yeke yeke
way out west the gift (?? mix)
i have never been a big fan of gas, but for some reason i didn't mind it at all this time, and the crowd was one of the best, most up for it crowds i have seen in a long time.
words can't really explain how much i enjoyed last night, but i'm sure my seritonen will be seriously depleted come tomorrow. My brain can't think of any either, so i'll leave helen to give a coherent review.....
glad i finally got a meet atleast one TA: Helen, going off all night next to the DJ booth..... you go girl!
once again, amazing night, and sad to think i will never get to see nick warren again.... ah well we still have atleast 10 more years of zabiela :p

I was there :) Was a good night...will copy and paste my ITM post on it. Helen, was VERY nice 2 actually talk to you for once for more than a hello. Tried to find you throughout the night to ave a boogie with but couldn't find you...I was just left of where we were for AvB.
"This was my first prog night and it was a good night.
Some of the mixing TOTALLY lost me; where he was building up and would slide STRAIGHT into a track with no bass, and once the bass kicked in back again. Quite strange. His set for movement i found moved everywhere. I'm sure this was intential, but I can't figure out why. No one moves back and forwards ~6 times between dark and hands in the air, but all I really hear is trance or GU (in prog), so I don't have the widest range of mixing styles.
Coldplay - Clocks (Danny Howells Mix)
Danny Howells & Deep Dish / DDD (Eminem) - Nobody Listens To Techno
Lamb - Gorecki (Bill Hamel Mix)
Were my highlights with Clocks being good enough for me to call Simon Sez and wake him up to hear it. And that was no substance to influence that decision,
Thanks to ITM for the free ticket, and it was nice to meet a whole stack of new ITMr's last night. Robbiee man i yelled your name out @ randoms all night, only to be given weird looks. Next even we arrange a meetup
