| 1200's also normally seem to appear in Silver whereas the 1210's are black. |

neither the 1210s or 1200s are MK3s
just go in and ask for the MK3s
dont worry about asking for 1210 MK3s :D |

| Though, i read on the site of Technics that the only difference between them is the colour... |

| The difference between the SL-1200MKII and the SL-1210MKII is just the color. |

thanks for your input guys.
I havent actually seen the manufacturers boxes and labels. but from my research and shopping on the web i've seen silver and black 1200s, and also silver and blac 1210s, BOTH in mk2 AND m3d.... Im so confused..... |

here is what we own...
(2) black 1210 MKII
(2) black 1200 MKII
(4) silver 1200 MKII
the only difference i have seen is the actual electrical plug. The 1210's needed an adapter to fit an american electrical outlet |

actually my buddy has a 1200 mkII that needs an adapter for north american outlets
it just depends where you buy them
i have a pair of 1210 m3d's and here are all the differences between them and the 1200mkII (im not sure about individual differences in the mkII and m3d, and the 1200 and 1210s...this is just a lump sum from the 1200mkII to 1210m3d)
1210M3D:
-doesn't click at 0 pitch and it doesn't lock onto the quartz at 0, and has a quartz button
-recessed power button
-dust covers don't come with hinges on them (this can be both positive and negative depending on the situation, but you can buy a kit to add them on if you want)
-hole near the top end of the table to hold an extra needle vertically
MY pair of 1210m3d's has a european plug and i needed to buy adapters for them (has a little knotch under the platter to change from 110 - 220v)
However im not sure if all 1210m3d's are like this, or if it depends on where they are intended to be sold. Mine were shipped to me from the UK so im not positive about this.
im pretty sure those are the only differences between them...otherwise they're the exact same table
i am a fan of the no click pitch though...just because its so annoying if you're mixing around 0 and the little green light keeps coming on even though you aren't clicked in at 0
im pretty sure all models come in all different colours |
