We set off for The Met at about 8 but did not reach the club until 9:30 after some very dodgy directions from theb When we reached the Met it was only half-full but the music was already pumping. Chris Davis was on the decks and as per usual he was serving up a trancetastic treat.
Chris played the opening set until 10:20 when Paul Richards (c/o Subliminal sessions) began. It was unusal to hear some funky house in the Met and I don't think that the crowd warmed to it that much but I certaintly thought that it was a welcome change to hard house which characterises the Arena. I recognised a few tunes that Paul played including a couple from Nick Warren's Global Underground CD.
After Paul's set which lasted until around 12:30 Marco V stepped up to take the reigns, I could not wait. Marco V immediately changed the tempo of the whole night, I think everyone was going especially mad after Paul's warm-up.
Marco started off his set with a blinder of a tune, I was later to find out from Marco that this was his new track titled c:/del*.mp3. Marco V continued to work the crowd into a frenzy by playing Solar Facor - No Return (a particular favourite of mine), Echoes (V.ision Remix) and Revolt. This was one heck of a start to his set!!!
Marco then played a number of new tunes intermingled with classics such as The Mutalisk and Atlanta (02-02-02). Marco then played Universal Nation (Ferry Corsten Remix) and finished his set off with Marco V - GODD vs. Faithless - God is a DJ and Insomnia Remix.
This was another excellent set from a true genius. Luckily enough I got to have a quick word with Marco at the end of his set and he told me that his new track c:/del*.mp3 was played first in his set. He also told me that he is not sure if Godskitchen will be in Ibiza but if they are he will be playing for them
Chris Davis finished off the night with another short excellent set. All in all an excellent nite at the Met!!!!!!
