| oke doke...my friend does not believe me that the XBox and the GameCube both have better graphics than the PS2...could one of u guys find a game thas on all three platforms and post pics of similar places in the game...i showed him side by side pics of Splinter Cell for the Box & PS2...still didnt believe me...any help please? |

well the problem with that as well is that each of the systems have different utilities for capturing images. initially the xbox was more PC friendly, so then the images looked much much better than the ps2, even if they were similar.
another issue is that often you cant judge good graphics by a still image. you can get an idea, but that doesnt mean that when you factor in effects, animation, and other crucial touches it will be the same.

those fogging effects wont happen on ps2...
check the detail..
but it will look more like this on your avg TV...
as for xbox...it is better, but not that much better than GC, at least now. plus its a quality issue. you can pump out fancy looking graphics demos, but if they arent fun to play, its worthless.
halo is prolly the only example with good graphics and gameplay:
that all being said, there are some truly great games graphically on the ps2...
ico is possibly the most artistic, best game graphically ive ever seen. it doesnt push textures like the xbox or cube, but few games come close to it in motion.

ive certainly wasted too much time here tho |

Shenmue 2 is running off of the Dreamcast engine so I wouldn't add that. The game would look so much better if they ported it over to XBox graphics. Yes the XBox does have better graphics, but their games do not have the gameplay...and the gameplay is all the games are worth IMO. |

What about Halo! :D And in the future games like Fable, Panzer Dragoon Orta (Europe), Perfect Dark zero :crazy:, Dino Crisis 3 etc... |

I own a PS2 and in theory the X-Box has the best graphics, the GC comes in second and the PS2 comes in last, but it depends mostly on the quality and the programming skill of the creators of a game.
But instead of choosing your console by it's graphics you should look at the games and see which systeem has the most to your liking. |
