Well, this is my 2nd rave in Vancouver and I thought it was alright. I do love the plaza of nations though. I find tha if you really want to hear the music well though, you definately have to go the the dance floor. BUt htere's only one problem with that... the amount of ed up Asian people there!!! Now I'm not racist or anything, but poeple, please, learn how to handle your drugs and have respect for other poeple around you. THe number of groups of Asian people that held hands and just "flung" each other around like rag dolls into other partiers, that's not cool and I'm convinced that you are the people giving raves a bad name in Vancouver! (let the razzing begin)
I hitch-hiked from WHistler by myself to get to this party, and I thought that the music was fanastic. Bunny (from Rabbit in the Moon), I've never head such awesome, driving, progressive house in my life. He totally ruled the party and had me at his attention the enitre time!
Jon the Dentist was alright, I've heard better performances. He was also telling me that he was scheduled for 4am but he was so jetlaged he had to go on early. He seemed totally out of it when he was finished.
Victor Dinair's set was purely awesome too. I heard some really amazing trance tracks that couldn't help but think... I NEED THESE TRACKS!!! I definately notcied a different style of trance though. Maybe it was his style... or and new style for 2003, either way, I was impressed. :D
Good party, I'd rate it a 7-10, just becasue the music was awesome, I met some really cool people, considering I went by myself. THis party could have been atleast a 9 if it weren't for all those ing ed up Asians. I'm sorry, but it was really disgusting. If you've been to a party in Toronto, then you come here, there's a huge difference in how it impacts your thought on a party. |

Too bad binary finary didnt play... Oh well ... How many raves are at plaza in a year ? 1 ? 2 ?
And yes there were too many Asians on the main dance floor ... That didnt seem to care about other people around them .... I gues thats the way they are ... dunno ...
I left at 3 ... So i didnt get to hear Victor spin ...:( |

Yeh this was my 4th plaza party and in every instance there were f*cked up nammers dominating the front area. At one point at new years I just got sick of these people swaying in front of me and just went to the breaks room...
Another thing... i'm not sure if it was during dinaire's set but I remember this one track with a lot of talking, and most verses ending in " that!". It had kind of a 2-step sound to it... does anyone know the name of it? |
