| I was in Toronto forum and everyone who went to his show last month said he tore the ing roof off. I'd almost rather see him then Ferry but that's all my preference. For one it's not gonna cost much to get him over here since he isn't as big as the usually suspects. But then again I don't know the first thing about promoting. Does anyone agree that maybe the promotors and everyone else, that can help, get these lesser know guys over here? |

its all about getting him when he is already in canada...making flights and papers way way way cheaper......
flying someone into canada for one gig doesn't make $ense....
if he becomes available, then maybe one day i'll throw some $$ out there for a guy like him.... |

the entire DJ industry is slowing down
prices for most people are going down by a few thou
at the same time, crowds are harder to draw upon, and they just arent showing up.
While somebody like Hardwick would be alot cheaper than Armin or Ferry, he also doesnt have the instant name draw that they do to attract the outside fringe of music lovers.
its a win lose situation...solid flyering and promotion can overcome it if you have a good team, but that all my cow town perspective for you
I myslef am/was battling to throw a party in April..only to have it announced that PvD is here a week earlier..nobody is gonna come out to my little party after PvD 4 days earlier, and DJ Dean and AK1200 a week before that.
so.....its rough. |
