well maybe 24 same old same old cd's except for a few good ones is the reason that gu is going under.
then again i hear the execs overtook oakey & sasha in the world "how many lines of coke can u have a in a hour" master championship |
Heheh...it's true to a point, the fat lads did have a lavish lifestyle..and that's one of the contributions to GU going under.
The Global Underground cds have been awesome...some bad ones (ala Paul Oakenfold), but the majority of them are amazing pieces of work. The whole concept has been a trend setter and has been one of the leaders in the mix compilation genre.
Pity to see it going under, but i'm hoping they'll survive and continue to push the envelope in terms of originality. The Electric Calm, Afterhours and Steve Lawler's 'Lights Out' cds were all ing wicked, I love em to death!!! |

Oakenfolds 007 is a disgrace!! The mixing is horrible, doesn't run smoothly at all. There's some dope tracks on their ie: Jamie Anderson, Taste Experience, E Mantra aaa from cd1 n the first 2 on cd2 plus one or two others...but the mixing, me...it's so awkward...its simply too obvious and sounds like !! Oakies GU from Oslo is pretty cool though...i absolutely adore the dnb disc, en wicked stuff :)
I didn't like Digweeds set from Hong Kong...i like prog, but that was just too progressive for me :o |

hey this is my first time in the auta and not to intrude your peace and sunny down under :o but i have to point out that tracklisting is prolly false :p cuz jody winsternoff mentioned in an interview from his NYE GC AU party, i believe, that the new WOW tune called 'Fistf****r' will be on nick's new GU... but then again the tracklisting seems to be kept well hidden.. so, i dunno
hope to come and visit this area of the forum more often :p
btw.. whatever happened to Fraggle & DJTs-Nexile... anyone seen them around at all recently?
