I will be in Calagary from the 26th of Jan to the 2nd of Feb...Since there are no big events occuring in this time frame - I have been given the names of Auxillary and warehouse as decent places to party..... can someone let me know about these places....

both places have hardly any people at all.. you would probably like the music but there not the greatest by any chance at all but unfortunely thats all we got for that weekend
I would suggest checking out the palace sat feb 1 for a theme party defstar is throwing, a bit more mainstream but it depends on what you prefer |

stay away from the palace. its DJ Beej from Club rubber and some hip hop dj..dunno if thats your thing, but itll be all bar stars.
Warehouse on fridays is great. feb 1 there might be somebody coming, but its not announced yet. Its House/Funky House/Techno upstairs, and DnB/Jungle/2 Step/Breakbeats and Gangsta boogie downstairs. it opens @ 9 and has great drink specials

Aux on Fridays is FBI fridays Chris Kerr and Five Alive..its just gettin started. it opens @ 1. I dont know much about it yet.
Warehouse on Sat is also just changing its now Slide Sat instead of blissed. So Pauly dee and Anthem are gone, and now its Will D, Gemini, Zero Gravity and John Bryne. They play between epic trance to hard trance to hard house and back..good night, should do well. They had the biggest turnout since it changed this weekend, and should keep on rolling. It opens @ 3 am cover is $12 or $15 depending on when you get there.
Auxillary on Sat is Eclipse Saturdays, and yes, a few weeks ago there was a shooting there and the victim died as a result of his injuries. It was the 3rd attack in a string of asian gang related events, and they have upped security a hella lot since then.(my leather glove set off the metal detector) Dont let the shooting deter you. Djs are Richie V-German Hard Trance, Troy allan-Hard House and Haze-Hard trance, they often have guests, but I dont know who for that night. It opens @ 1 and cover is $10
now Warehouse is 18+ and does full pat downs, so watch any drugs you plan on bringing in..they check pockets and all..and can get away with it because its a private club.
Aux is 16+ and does half assed pat downs relying on a metal detecting wand that works really well at detecting small amounts of metal(clasps on jeans etc)
Neither of these places serve liquor on Sat, and only warehouse does on Friday.
Warehouse sometimes has a crowd, Aux never does. Leave me details of your musical preference(trance, house, techno, prog etc) and ill see what I can drum up for ya. |
