um yes we get winter
but we dont get snow... n its not cold enuf to play ice hockey
i know of a guy who plays ice-hockey in aust.
going over to canada soon to play for aust.
but its not a common sport, here |

yeah .. our winter is probably on par with your summer, 2-20 degrees C :)
aussies suck at most winter sports, we've only ever won 2 gold medals at the Winter Olympics (and both of those were in Salt Lake City) - so not really any ice hockey to speak of... |

yeah we we do get winter, footy season!
and australians play hockey too. the national men and women's teams have won quite a few gold medals and world championships i think, so we do well in hockey. :D
now ice-hockey is another thing...
not very popular because we don't get the same temperatures and snow etc but there are a few ice skating rinks around the place, which old games and leagues and stuff. but not as much as you canadians :) |
