So what is the ultimate DJ pose?
Personally, nothing beats the 2 hands in the air and the looking up to heaven. It just shows theyu are enjoying it as much as you which ensures a great atmosphere :P |

The one pose I remember best is from Armin - during his sydney gig he noticed the crowd was quiet during a really quiet breakdown for some strange reason! He looked up, grinned, put one hand behind his ear and lifted his other hand as if to say "i can't hear u bastards!"
as everyone starts going nuts he starts waving his hands like he's splashing water on his face :D
was absolutely killer!
the other one that cracks me up that a lot of DJs do is the "head twitch" .. its kinda hard to describe, but the DJ moves his/her head side to side in time with the beat..
Sydney TAs who've seen Sample Gee will know what I mean :) |

haha cool thread! :D
theres 2 that come to mind really... there both pretty unique im sure both only did it once but there on videos :D
the first one paul van dyk on that innercity 2000 (Pvd, Tiesto, Sven Vath at Innercity (12 30 2000).avi 65 meg) video if anyone has it goto 2:30 when taiko - silence has that drum breakdown real fast and then the kick drum slams back in paul does this wicked manouver with his hands it looks so cool i reckon i would have gone nuts cause it suited that part of the track so perfect then he like swirls one hand as that jungly build up is goin on then slams the other one above his head when the beat kicks in looks wicked :D
the next i cant remember where its from i think tiesto at sensation but hes jumping up and down on the spot and like one of his hands is like hes whipping something haha sounds gay i know, it looks wicked... |
