thats where u are wrong. if wanted all the fame and glory he would be in the studio a damn site more. DJing is his life. he is fine as he is, and he is content with it.
he's got a residency at the worlds most renowned club... does it get any better than that? :) |
true...but who isnt going for the money???tell me someone that he is playing only because he likes what he does and not for the money...
this is our times... |

that was exactly my point. if he was in it for the money, he would actually care about playing more places and getting more well known.. but the fact is he doesnt. he does it because he loves it..
and ill be playing GC summersoundsystem next year, in the bull tent ;) |

I WAS a fan of Tiesto!
If we compare how tiesto was Then and Now, i am sure u would see a diffence in his style.
So he plays a more complete set with Prog now? Obviously that makes him better! Tiesto was going with the trend to try and attract more people to his fan base, i.e get more prog people to listen to him more. However, i think he failed becasue
1) he didn't incorporate prog into his sets very well, thus dissastisfying both sets of fans (Trance and Prog)
Also a musician doing things for money is fine, however, in the current light of recent events, apparantly you may have to pay $500 just to see Tiesto on NYE which is shameful. I find that u are inclined to agree.
And i was a fan of tiesto. He played some great sets at great festivals in the year 2000-2001. His tiestosolo tour was fantastic, many UKTAs will agree, since he came to the UK for one leg of the tour. Sets from Dancevalley, Trance Energy, Hyperstate etc ARE fantastic. Surely u can see that his performance is not what it was.
And blank, I'm sure Tu_face has a lot more experience of clubbing than u. Take my word for it! ;) |

and he also released a great album!
However a few of his recent remixes have not been quite up to standard, which, of course is not going to make people happy.
If Tiesto pulls up his socks and starts to concentrate on making people happy, then i'm sure he will regain the confidence of the trance community again.
and before u say anything I saw him @ NYE 2001, Homelands 2001, Gods Kitchen GLobal Gatering 2002, and the rest of the UKTAs saw him at All Gatecrasher events as well.
peace :) |
