| ok this club f***** sucks! oh my god i went there and saw 4 DRAGQUEENS and they were playing the cheesiest form of tech-house or wanna-be progressive. all these fags were walking around w/ sunglasses on and shiny shirts. not to mention i saw so many beer drinking sorority-type chicks i went to high school with from coral springs and boca...bleh i felt like i was at the scene of one of those gay MTV shows. i will never go to downtown ft.lauderdale any more. i can't believe i used to party there EVERY weekend when i was a senior. i thought it was the coolest place. hahahaah sobe is so much better, there is no comparison. it's worth the drive and money imo. |

Heh at least u have some decend clubs to go to. Foodge packing Tampa suxs ass. Last time i been to a club down here was months ago. Ybor city is a joke, and Clearwater/St. Pete area is even worst. Probably next time i'll hear some good live trance is @ Ultra 5, ohh well its worth the wait @ least. If any1 knows any good new clubs in tampa area let me know, cuz i'm not going to go out and look for myself, i'm just 2 damn tierd of cheezy tunes and $10 beers :P

I couldnt agree with you more about the Tampa Area. Its scene has gone really downhill since 98... Believe it or not, Ft Lauderdale still has some good club nights. Mercury Lounge just had Kimball Collins last weekend. Coming up this and next month they are having David Padilla, Edgar V. ,Slinky World Tour, DJ Taucher, Icey, and Suzy Solar as guests. I know S. Beach is a way better place to party but at the present time there is a lack of good trance shows there. |

| well when you compare Ft. Lauderdale to friggin TAMPA and CLEARWATER that's a whole other story! hahahah god i was going insane when i was living in clearwater with my dad about 4 months ago. that's why i moved back here. i can't stand it there. the only club that i thought was DECENT in the clearwater area was the Collosseum in Largo. it's right off Ulmerton if you are heading towards 275 which would be east i think. it's on the left hand side...you can't see it from the road but there is a huge lit up sign you can see. it's only nice as far as class goes. it's a slightly more sophisticated (sobe wanna-be) crowd. there's valet and a dress code i think and all that and it's pretty big. it has SOOOO much potential as a sick club if they could just get the right DJ in there! i think the resident DJ is DJ FBI (what a name:stongue: ) and he plays like that techy breaks wanna be crap you hear on wild 98.7 late at night. it's all good dance music i guess if you aren't that much into the scene. i was actually living like literally 5 min up the road from that club which was pretty convenient. |

| Well I am in Ft Lauderdale and the only club I like is Mercury Lounge... voodoo is only decent when I have already been out drinking my face off and don't know what's going on. But living 45 minutes away from Space, you cant compare anything else. I lived in Tampa from 96-98 and I remember the only decent places being 1509 and the little back room of Masquerades.. cmon you Tampa folk know what I am talking about!!! I may make my way up there soon for a visit, so keep me posted on the hotspots! :eyes: |
