Right, here's my dilema.
I am in London until Monday, and I'm looking for something to this weekend (fri or sat). Anyone have any suggetions where a Canadian on walk-about might go?
I'm looking for a true London Clubbing experience... if you know what I mean (nod nod wink wink) <yah I really don't know what that means but it's worked in the past, so why not?
Are any of you guys headed out this weekend? If so, interested in playing a bit of tour guide?
Cheers,
Fats |

I don't know whether or not you like techno, but it seems you missed Marco Carola and Adam Beyer last night (Thursday night) at Propaganda in London.
A club called "Dungeons" will have London's famous acid techno DJ Chris Liberator tonight, he is also playing at a club called "Imperial gardens" the same night. Ben Sims will be at a club called Electrowerkz Friday night and Josh Wink will be at a club called Frabric Saturday night.
That's all I've been able to find techno wise on the net. Try asking in a newsagents what club listings magazines they have, London probably has a free monthly club listings mag, I know Newcastle has.
If you really want to experience the 'wink wink' side of London then it's controversial acid techno scene would be best. Chris Liberator is probably London's most famous acid techno DJ, apart from maybe Dave the Drummer, who is probably playing somewhere in London this weekend.
Alternatively, if you're not that fussed about going deep down into the underground ( ;) ) you could go with the well known examples like Turnmills - which certainly won't dissapoint.
It's worth keeping any flyers you're given somewhere like Camden, as they are sometimes about after-parties the following morning, and trying to find yourself a party at 8 in the morning when you're absolutely caned can be difficult :D |
