who wants to start a trance night in bc?? vancouver
i have enough $$ to get things going..and live close to downtown...
i've always wanted to promote, and have some neat ideas to get alot of people out.
seriously, if anyone knows of a club/space/even a damn warehouse, i wanna do a monthly friday trance night...
i don't even know of local trance dj's...the only trance dj i know is kyle joygasm....or something like that..
anyway, what do you all think.... |

| no club in their right mind will give up their friday night(unless tehy really suck) Ppl dont drink to trance. The bar sales just arent there. You could maybe approach about an afterhours thing..but I dont know how vancouver is for that. |

J-spot is right. You won't find a Friday night, maybe a monday-wednesday. Afterhours are pretty scetchy as well because cops love to break that up.
You can apply for a legal afterhours permit and through a party in a warehouse but I think everybody must be 19 to attend and some other stupid rules.
If you want to make a name for yourself I would suggest bring in a fairly well-known DJ and rent a club for a night, and start your club nights from there.
If you need someone to help I would like to get involved somehow. I can help promote, fund, give ideas or whatever. |

| Yeah same here....me and Dj Phu are trying to set something up. We are gonna start talking to clubs and see if we can get one night to try it out.....maybe we can try together.... |

Danny (24k on this site, newbie though =P) is responsible for bookings on Friday nights at Viva now, and I'll be playing there pretty much every Friday.
In other words, Viva on Friday is now prog and trance. |
