u guyz must all realise every popstar from the show, has neva made it big and neva will? the show just hypes up australia for awhile, than soon enuff... the popstars are left stranded with no fans, no publicity etc.
Bardot- split up... they also were in a bit of debt from their first single... the stupid t.v show gave them a bad manager
scandalis?- where the hell have they dissapeared to?
That single singer guy- i give him 3 months before people start forgetting his name, i dont even know his name.
i only eva watched the 1st popstars show, after that i felt ashamed. and popstars is not a good way to reach super stardom... u'd think people will start realising it if popstars 4 comes out
maybe u could earn a bit of cash though... |

"popstars" are to find pawns for the music industry buddy. i wouldnt even say "music" industry, more the "pop" genre. but the industry's been doing such a thing for a long while, just never really televised i don't believe. spice girls came to fame like that. and all those friggin boy bands, utterly manufactured =)
in terms of aussie "popstars", i wouldnt say all of them were a complete failure, there were those who thought a lil, had a bit of common sense and smarts and managed to use popstars as a stepping stone to what they wanted to do. actually, only one case comes to mind. that red head from bardot, kate underwood i think? she capitalised on popstars to virtually immediately jus lash after their first single to do what she really wanted to do, which is a pretty mellow chilled dance style. didnt think her first single "come back to me" was half bad =) but ur right, where dF have "Scandal-US" *cough* gone? and like u, i havent even an idea of what the single popstar's guy name is. he looks a country bumpkin though.
funny how that popstar reject who tried for scandulous is bigger than either popstar[s] atm though. that rnb dude, u all know who i'm on about eh? |

ohh true, true... Selwyn is his name i think... he has more talent than the rest of em. oh yeh and that katie underwood... she left Bardot before they decided to split up... must of seen it coming:D
btw, that blonde chik in Bardot ended up being the model for this bra company, but i dunno if that is wat u would call using a 'stepping stone' from bardot |
