Hey All
It seems that a couple of the VC TAs know each other, but many don't. Let's try and find an event that will have good music, that is reasonably priced and that will suit everyone to meet at.
I'm also interested in meeting the TAs to get together to go to local events & also to find out what places to go to, since I'm clueless at the moment about where is good to go here.

| I should have met everyone at Tiesto last month but i'm too shy. Maybe next big event. Its just such a pain living on the Rock, taking the ferry and all :( How are you liking BC so far Widget? |

Dunno, anywhere which is relatively easy to get to from my end of VC would be great. Just not this week (assignments like mad). A bar/pub/food type place sounds good too.
Richards?? no idea if I've been there or not. So far I've only been taken out to Gas Town, to the Purple Onion - the hiphop was really really bad, but the house was decent.
Otherwise I'm always looking out for a gettogether somewhere & then wondering off to a club which will have good music. Assuming that there are a couple of places which have decent trance?...
I've still got to try and organise with Patticus, since we're supposed to be fairly close to each other.

There's pretty much no good clubnights in the city that play good prog or especially good trance. I'm part of a night at Viva in richmond on Thursday that plays trance/prog, and of course the music is good (I play there afterall =P), and $2 highballs. Only problem is that it's in Richmond which I imagine isn't terribly close to most of you guys, that and there are rarely more than 60 people that show up (may be a good thing depending what kind of environment you guys were looking for).
If you want a good pub, the Irish Heather downtown (across from the Blarney Stone) has the best pints of Guiness and Kilkenny in the city, as well as some amazing food. If you want something cheaper, then why not the Pit Pub out at UBC? |
