Review/Personal blurb about the night:
Max spun a very solid three hour set,(albeit with one trainwreck which was equipment based): I danced my ass off the entire time.
An added bonus were the two buddies I brought along, virgins to the club scene, and even more virgin to trance/house style music.
(these are guys who normally listen to avril levigne, Saves the Day and some more ty punk and emo )
Needless to say, now they like progressive.
Mixing was pretty good, but did anyone see whether he was tapping in or not? (looked like it, but not sure). He spun 4 or 5 breakbeat tracks, 3 of them in a clump near the "middle" of the set, but it was mostly the harder end of progressive house.
The crowd went off when he played the Filterheadz remix of Massive, and the King Unique remix of Two Months Off. Needless to say I sang along with two months off, as did a couple people around me. it was a bonding moment. :D I would have liked him to play a bit more of his own material though, his is class!
I got a nose full of BO when some tall guy raised his arms to cool his pits off as the fog jet went off, and my friends were bothered by gay guys hitting on them, lol.
I give DV8 a big hug for getting max to come and play a kickass 3 hour set. Hopefully they can meet my expectations again, maybe bring in SK or lucien foort :D
See you (all)?? at scream 2002
