A beginners question
modthispny
so i borrowed my friends hercules rmx controller the other day and after a few min i figured out how to manually beat match using the jogger.

i still had to look at my laptop though to match the beats, but i think after some more practice i'll be able to do it by ear.

a question i have, pretend i'm mixing from 132 to 134, for example, i would use the pitch lever to match up the bpm before i would beat match, how would a DJ know what bpm they have adjusted to before they being to beat match? i see a lot of dj's use cdj's, does the display show the bpm and also its adjustments if you increase/lower it?

also, are the jogger and pitch the 2 main ways to mix songs? or do you also use the pitch bend?

thanksss

my first mix (how do you embed youtube?)

The BPM on the cdj's only changes in whole numbers. So as you move the pitch fader the bpm eventually jumps from 128-129 it doesn't show you the .1 .2 .3 values etc. If that makes any sense?
