DJ Tiesto Headphones. Would you buy ?

| Working for a company that is in talks with DJ Tiesto to make a line of High quality, good priced headphones. What do you think and if you have any suggestions lmk. |

Personally, I don't care for DJ endorsements. I care more about durability and quality. I would buy a no brand headphone if it was built really well and sounded amazing in live gigs. I wouldn't buy a Tiesto headphone just because it has the Tiesto name attached to it. I would buy them if they sounded better than my Senns, they cost less than $200, they're durable, and are built like tanks! I've been through so many pairs and the first thing that breaks is either the joints or the cables.
I was at NAMM yesterday, and when I was at the Shure booth, some rep came up to me and started showing me their upcoming headphones. They have a pair made for DJ's and they sounded really good, they completely cancelled out all the noise around, but they felt cheap. I felt like I was gonna break them. I told that to the rep and he laughed. He then proceed to bending the out of the headphones and to try to break them. I was stunned! Nothing happened to them.

there is a difference between Dj Tiesto's headphones and Dj Tiesto's brand of headphones.
First should have some quality, in fact i think he doesn't care how much them cost since his budget is unlimited so he probably picks what is best for him. Of course this may not be what you want.
If it is his brand this means that you are paying 100$ for something that is worth 80$ just because has the name "Tiesto" somewhere.
It reminds me to the Krusty the Clown products, the pregnant test: "Not accurate but can cause malformations in the fetus."

Fixed, as the above is probably more likely. Beats by Dr. Dre, for example, are expensive headphones with terrible sound but they have Dr. Dre's name on them so that alone is worth more than $200. |

Good god. Have you listened to them? they are absolutely ing horrible. They also break if you just look at them funny.
No I do not think Tiesto headphones are good idea, but it will not stop them from coming out or selling a few hundred thousand of them to little candy emo's. |

lol recently i got some AKG K240S and i was telling my buddy about them, and then he reveals to me that he wants to get some new headphones (he is not a producer or DJ) and asked me about beats by dre. and i had to tell him that i've had 20$ headphones in the past that sounded better than that garbage true story. |

| my cousin had skullcandys Paul Frank edition. 80$, i compared them to my first headphones who are still working (Although the plastic has broken in several places and you can't wear them) and cost 25$, we came to the conclussion that my oldies sound better, in addition his skullcandys broke after say 50 uses, real losy a swindle. But my cousin is a prick and all the people that wear skullcandys prefer the shape than the technology inside... |

Yeah, I've tested them out in a few stores. It's tough to try them comfortably though since they're always broken :whip: |
