How to hedge against the dollar

Do any of the wise men here have some recommendations to hedge against the inevitable drop of the dollar? For the short term I was considering moving some of my money to the gold ETF SGOL as gold seems like a safe hedge against the dollar decline

Great thing about SGOl is its tied to actual gold weight thru credit suisse

cad is historically tied to commodities - and is approaching par with the US dollar.

Euro might be a safe bet (simple forex) or the yuan (as they regulate their currency value)
