Bad OTC drug experience

man i was tripping balls this morning on ing mucinex DM maximum strength and weed. i took one pill yesterday afternoon for my allergies and then i felt all gittery and weird from it even into the night before bed. didn't sleep at all...tossed and turned all night until finally i said this and got out of bed around 7 a.m. this morning and decided to smoke some weed to hopefully make myself tired. BIG MISTAKE.
i started having mild visuals and almost fainted about 3 times and puked immediately after almost fainting each time. almost losing conciousness is the scariest ing thing to me and i can't believe i didn't, i was so close every time but i kept fighting.
i feel sort of better now, i guess i just needed to wait for the weed effects to wear off me but goddamn. i can't believe how ing stupid and irresponsible i was, i should have read what the DM part is all about before smoking pot with it:mad:
anyone else have something like that happen to them?

| nope, only on +300mg of DXM. not one pill. not fun either. |

i must be really sensitive to stuff like that. it's why i hate taking cold medicine. i ALWAYS get jittery/cracked out.
i almost tripped on 2 different kinds of cough syrup one time. i can't believe this is legal.
and it figures i'd be a rock star with all the illegal stuff but i can't even take a ing mucus blocker and smoke a joint without almost going to the ER lol |

yeah, different drugs affect different people uhm.. differently. /redundant
tbh i can't take more than 45mg of pseudoephedrine at a time without getting really jittery, like a bad batch of coke or something- all of the side effects, none of the fun. same with too much strong coffee.
i guess back in the day when we were young we were doing it wrong too. supposedly the "safer" way of doing DXM was chugging a bottle of robitussin; we just ate a box of coricidin instead. lots of bad in there that you're not supposed to go nuts with. |

Yea, you must be. I actually guzzle cough medicine right from the bottle when I have a cold and I feel just fine. |

I had really bad coke once and took DM like 2 hours after my last bump.
I needed it to breath while I sleep. I was super nervous taking it.. hoping that it wouldn't clash.
I tried googling it but didn't come up with much lol. |

| After getting my wisdom teeth removed, I was all hopped up on painkillers and remnants of laughing gas, so I smoked some weed an hour after surgery and felt like I was going to implode. The pain was terrible, my stomach felt like it got tied in a knot, and I had a massive headache. A short nap relieved everything. |

yea my bf in high school did the robotussin and i never did that. i remembered telling them they were nuts lol i had a hard enough time taking that when i had a cold, i wasn't about to chug it for s and giggles.
and i STILL feel light headed and like i might faint:( this sucks. i just spoke to my girlfriend though who in an EMT and she told me that i'm just having a reaction and my BP is probably low and i need to stay in bed and drink water and just let it run its course.
i know i shouldn't be on the computer but i feel like keeping my mind active will keep me from fainting. |

oh yea i can't believe i forgot the funniest part of my story.
at the time i was tripping (around 7:30 this morning), i was thinking about my bf and roommate having a flat tire because i REALLY wanted him to stay with me. well, they had a flat tire. and what makes it weirder is that they are 4 brand new tires. when he came in the room and told me, i was tripping and thought maybe i made it happen:stongue: |
