anyone a fan?

maybe I'm way out of the loop, I only recently discovered MIS from a couple of tracks appearing in a set by Fort Knox Five from earlier this year.

Mexican Institute of Sound, aka Camilo Lara, aka the president of EMI Mexico (seriously).

Apparently he's quite the music connoisseur with over 45,000 records in his personal vinyl collection, has worked with artists ranging from Fantastic Plastic Machine to the Beastie Boys...tours regularly, including playing Coachella...remixed Johnny Cash for a tribute album...and his tracks have appeared on tv shows, in national ad campaigns and on the FIFA 2008 video game soundtrack.

in a word...eclectic.

some of his stuff is really interesting and quite good, but this...this is just awesome, lol:

some other interesting tracks...

El Microphono (used in the FIFA 2008 soundtrack)

Para No Vivir Desesperado (the first track I heard, in a Fort Knox Five set):

A Girl Like You (has appeared on Ugly Betty and Californication):

I thought this was going to be about an audio technician school, but instead of learning about sine waves or whatever, you get your kidnes forcibly removed and you're left in a ditch with some half-assed stitches to die of complete renal failure.

Actually, would you die of renal failure if your kidneys aren't even there anymore? You'd probably die of septicemia I guess.
