hey guys,
im a bit of a noob here, so go easy on me. been listening to EDM for years, but dont really go out to shows much because im originally from victoria. clubs there are ALL top 40. i have friends that ask me if ive ever heard of this new david guetta guy. hehehe.
anyways, ill be attending the deadmau5 show on oct 2nd at UBC and i have a few questions:
1) since its an "all ages" show, does that mean that there will be no booze sold?
2) is there usually an afterparty and if so, where is it? celebs?
3) most importantly, can anybody list some songs that will potentially be played? i mean, is he just going to play his new album from start to finish cause its a promotional tour? |

Anyone got more specifics on this afterparty? $40 dollars for a IF to see a DJ we have just been watching for 3 hours or a local spin is kind of .. rediculous.. or they must have one hell of a surprise up their sleeves.

Re: 'aftermau5'
"is deadmau5 playing? Maybe... but probably not"
Either way, you won't want to go home at 11pm I'm guessing and Celebs is your best bet for more dance music. Without knowing who'll be on though, I can't say if it'll be good or not.
As for the playlist... hehe. There won't be any surprises.
Edit: I should mention that he was just in the studio for a bit, so maybe he will throw something down. Who knows. Most people won't realize what's going on anyways.
As for the booze thing: it's at a hockey arena, so maybe there'll be a beer garden. But I doubt it. Chug them s before going in. |

"there won't be any surprises."
i am familiar with both of his albums, but not many of his remixes. off the top of my head, the only ones i'd recognize are "im not alone" and "harder better faster stronger." any others i should give a try?
i ask because i find songs are more enjoyable after a few listens.
$40 for the afterparty?!? that is damn steep. more info on why this is the price would be much appreciated. any chance they are doing this because they can charge what they want (show ends at 11 and people will want to go out)? |
