JULIAN CHOWs Missing Belonging!

areaone.info
Am just quoting ANGELO here

Oh man that sucks about julian stuff . Not sure what he lost but i'd throw in a 20 to help replace it , great solid guy with a huge heart .

Actually there is not more to say except julian and a few other drive from out of van just to play for us and as strange it may sound most of the times they dont even get compensated for their gas-money let alone DJ fee,i think angelo made a great suggestion lets all throw in as much as we can afford...in a way we are investing in ourselves the scene and the music we all so much love and helping out a real great guy and better DJ ( am not going to give more details but he lost over 250$ thats no dime and nickls)

Julian will be opening for Mr. Porter on friday i will be there to offer as much as i can i sure hope the rest of you will be there too!

cheers

:tongue3 :tongue3 :tongue3 :tongue3 :tongue3

Hola folks,

This post alone from Naz is all I really need. Just needed to restore my faith in humanity really.

As mentioned earlier a friend of mine got jumped outside mint and got seriously hurt and was bleeding everywhere. Since I was right at the front of the line to get in I had my wallet and ID out ready to show the bouncer. I turned around and saw what was going on and your natural instinct is to drop everything to go help. i put down my wallet and ID with my record bag and ran over and at the same time was calling 911 for both police and ambulance. I return back to the lineup at mint to see that my wallet has been taken and my ID and business cards were scattered everywhere. I saw some smirks in line and I knew that a bunch of guys there had conspired together to take my money and credit cards. They all pretended like they knew nothing and even suggested I look a bit further and maybe I can find something. I did get my IDs back but they took about $100 and my Visas. The same people also decided that I shouldnt have the ability to take any money out to get myself home and bent and cracked my debit card and tossed it aside.

Monetary issues aside I was just saddened to see that people can sink low enough to rob someone else who was trying to be a good samaritan and stop a violent act from continuing. My friend had his nose broken and other bones in his face broken too and had to go to the hospital. He also had his cellphone taken in the fracas. It's terrible to think that in such situations you can ben taken advantage of.

In any case, you guys don't need to set up some sort of fund as I'll be ok. At least they didn't have a chance to take all my CDs and my headphones (guess that is something they can't get away with walking into the club) but considering the people who were going to Mint were people from the boat it really sucks to know that I was there DJng for some of these people and in turn they decided to not just rob me but also went a step further to deny me a chance to get money to take a bus or a cab home.

Thank you guys for trying to help but I'm not the one who needs it. The scavengers who stole from good people trying to do the right thing are the real ones who need help.

That was appalling to read. Things like this make sane people question whether there anything worth doing for public.
There was some questionable crowd, but no event is safe.

Julian, I wish your friend and yourself a speedy recovery from this whole mess.

I am sickened to have read that. That not only would people steal from you, but would break your debit card and then have the audacity to smirk at you when you asked about it. It's unfortunate no one saw anything, or was willing to come forward at the time to get your money back or at least deny them entry to the club. For all we know they smirkingly entered the club and were using your cards to enjoy the night before you could get them cancelled. This is the second EDM event in two weeks that has had a fight at, (there was a guy who threw a rock at someone randomly at Phoenix), and it's sad. I avoid clubs like the Roxy because there have been fights and thefts and bravado attitudes, but to have this kind of crap creep into EDM events is just saddening.

I'm sorry this all had to happen to such a great guy like Julian, and I hope your friend heals swiftly. I hope they caught the people who did it to him and I wish they'd been able to catch the guys who stole from you. I doubt it would have taught them a lesson, but at least we possibly could have had them blacklisted from future events.

that's pretty ridiculous that someone even has the balls to do something like this. goddamn kids, i tell ya! even more surprised that the bouncer and ticket person didn't see anything

karma will get those s

lots of hugs for julian, hope your friend gets well soon
