Heya folks,

Just uploaded this a few days ago to the web and figured I would share it with you.

Quite a grimy track with some nasty bass in it. Stuck it on you tube so it should be around for a while.

Click this link for track

lol this has such a psy-trance flavor to it.

He he, not my initial intent. I personally don't see the similarities but perhaps I am to intimate with the track itself.

Thanks for checking it out though.

I absolutely LOVE the percs!

great use of FX, although I think the 'electric' fx that keeps returning is a tad too loud in the mix, is it some sort of distorted vocal? sounds like it :D.

It's a great thing as a theme, but around the 2 minutes it starting to get on my nerves, but it's saved by the breakdown :)

sweet pads!

Loads of energy when the kick comes back in!

the mellow pads create a nice contrast with the raw electric fx.

then a great mixable outro.

Nice work man, I enjoyed it alot!

Great stuff here, lots of distortion, but I do echo the comments of it having a psytrance theme about it. It's a good track, but I didn't hear much "tech trance". Too much warping, twisting, and distorting of the sounds to be classified as tech trance. You had a rolling bassline, trippy breakdowns, and distorted warped sounds. This is definitely psytrance, without you even knowing it! :p

It's not a bad thing, mate, don't worry about it, the track was pretty mint, I wish I was that skilled!

Hey man, thanks for your comments.

Actually the labels I have sent this to have echoed the same thing, and they don't know how to categorise it so they wont touch it.

I did actually drop it last night in my set and it definitely did get people moving but I mixed for most of the intro as to not let people hear too much as I have decided that I may indeed shorten it when I get time.

As for the rolling bassline sounding like Psy... meh, it's just your bog standard trance bassline, but it may be the over all composition that gives a Psy feel. Ultimately it's just meant to be a twisted piece of angry music to shake the dance floor. :)

As I said, thanks again all for listening.

cheers

yep not a bad track more nrg i would say still a good tune

this is nice, good effects, sweet percussion. the top part of the bassline sounds odd early in the track and it sound better when it's buried on top of the beat. the break well, as for it being the one calm before the storm it works sort of but it's not to my liking, but i'm not really a big fan of breakdowns in general so ye.

and i didn't get the 'psy' influence as said by the others, it was clearly a techy-leaning track

yeah, cool, good ol' nemster rolling again!!!

can't say I was too fond of the "electric fx" it's kinda too loud and is distracting attention from the other parts which are simply said "sweet" right spot on cool.

I think you definitely need to shorten the intro a little bit, though, but that has been said already and you said yourself, that you know that.

I like the stutters there too. The distorded vocal needs to be a little quieter for sure, it is really a tad little too loud.

Otherwise nice build up and a great breakdown, those pads are soo lush .... maybe even they are too soft for the mood of the track, but they are giving a good contrast.

I wish I'd be able to come up with unique ideas on a regular basis like you do. You gotta teach me in that, mate!

Last thing, to me it sounds like psy...but these days genres and subgenres merge so fast that I can't tell for sure, no-one can and no-one should, I think.

It's a great track and that's enough of classifying for me! ;)
