Hey all,
One of my all time favourite tracks is BT's 'Mercury and Solace ft. Jan Johnston on vocals, from 1999. It is one of the most influential tracks in my life as a producer, and also as a person, I think it's because it holds alot of good memories for me.
Anyway, I have started work on a new version, ft. Alexandra Greene on vocals, which will be released as a single on a major dance label with some awesome remixes later this summer.
If you're interested the drums, piano, and half the pads are Reason. The rest are Sylenth and Omnisphere.
EDIT: LATEST CLIP IS IN EMBEDDED SOUNDCLOUD PLAYER IN THE 5TH POST OF THIS THREAD - SCROLL DOOOOOWWWWN :)

| The original is hard to beat... but I think your remix has a lot of potential. Keep working on it I can't wait for the finished product! |

Hey guys,
Thanks for your interest!
Just bounced down the final version of the original mix - just over 9m 30s...lol...38 tracks in Live, a huge Reason rack, tons of automation, layers of vocal harmonies and stutters, and lots of Omnisphere and Sylenth... :D
Radio edit and acoustic version to do now.... |

Hey,
If anyone is interested:
The track has now been signed to a label and Paul Oakenfold will be amongst the supporting DJs. Release date has yet to be announced, but is likely to be September/October with remixes from Kinky Roland and Timothy Allan amongst others.
I have updated the 'teaser' on Soundcloud significantly...you can hear it here:

| Sorry, but this is really pointless. And I don't like the way you've tagged it as your track either. |

Because it IS my track.... it is a cover...ever heard of them? The production and vocals are entirely original. Due credit to BT & Jan Johnston is also given, most bands or musicians who cover songs don't credit the original in their promo either, but I have....
Saying it is pointless is fine, but hinting that I am virtually stealing someone elses track is NOT cool at all, and is waaaaay off the mark. |
