With Special Guest
DAN BELL - US/DE
(Accelerate, Tresor, 7th City)
Daniel Bell is largely credited for creating a new vocabulary in electronic music, composed of acid sounds and streamlined repetitive rhythms, showing an approach of music that is based on refinement and economy in the use of effects. His original and innovative style has influenced a whole generation of producers and has shaped the minimal-house sound coming out of Germany, where he now resides.
Under his own name or as DBX, Daniel Bell released several classics during the 90s, including Bleep, Flying Saucer, Phreak and the eternal Losing Control, released on his own labels (7th City, Accelerate and Elevate) or on labels like Peacefrog and Klang.
Joining Bell for this very special performance are Toronto LIVE PA duo
Metalogic LIVE - CA
(Hidden Agenda, Perc Trax, Platform // metalogicstudios.com)
Frederik Hatsav and Jamie Kidd joined together in 2006 to create the new Metalogic sound. Their collaborations have produced edgy, dynamic and highly rhythmic electronic music, releasing for such labels as London's Perc Trax, Germany's Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Brooklyn's Addon and the legendary techno label Hidden Agenda.
The duo's 'Boxed and Warped' and 'Surge Stimulator' EP's were strongly supported by artists including Perc, Extrawelt, Cari Lekebusch, Alex Bau, Derek Plaslaiko, Tony Rohr, Someone Else, Frankie Bones, Alexi Delano and
John Selway. Relentlessly creating new sounds in the studio, Metalogic brings an intense live p.a. to nightclubs and festivals internationally.
