Hey aussie TA's,
I know dj scot project came to oz late last year. Did anyone happen to go see him? What was he like. I wasnt really into him at the time but am really enjoying his productions and sets now and am spewing about not going to see him. :( What do the rest of you think of him? |

His style is not my cup of tea but the reaction of ppl who saw him
was
"scott project is the only time ive ever creamed my pants over music"
:D |

Mate I know exactly how you feel! There was so much that I missed out on last year because I wasn't really into the music or didn't know what to expect and if it was worth it. I missed Scot Project, Paul van Dyk, AC/DC, Pantera, Slayer, the list goes on..
At least I've made up for PvD now :)
But yeah a couple of my friends went and thought it was wicked, so if he comes back anytime soon I'll be there! Well, if its at a location somewhere nearby at least, not like some hippy festival in the bush :p
I reckon he kicks ass, though I seem to be in the minority I think of Aussie TAs anyway. |

Hi mr stamper
Well as a matter of fact i went up to earthcore and he was omfg amazing. Im not sure if it was the whole day/night but hearing his stuff under the stars with no walls to bounce off just was ing brilliant. Towards the end he played miss shiva dreams cosmic gate remix and i thought the sky was going to fall in. No-one to upset with noise and a lot of happy people.
Is he coming again? |

hey there mr_stamper.
i also saw DSP last yr, not at earthcore like nervous, but at a club (plastic in sydney). it was god-damn crowded in there, but the set was good and everyone went off. [he dropped miss shiva - dreams (cosmic gate remix) there as well :)]. but in a way, being one of the exponents of the hard-trance scene, he tends to drop a few old tracks in most of his sets (second trip, ding-aling, etc), which i think could b replaced by some contemporary tunes, but then again, those tunes provide such a amazing feeling when played on quality systems.
so i guess, if u haven't gone and c him, do :) |

yeah i went to see scot when he played in sydney... he's one of my favourite producers... however his mixing skill was ordinary (well at least on that night anyway)... there were a few hiccups during his set (music stopped completely half way through & record jumping etc)..
the highlight of the night for me was when he dropped renegade master (derber mix) towards the end as i had hoped he'd play it and he did :) it was a good night & i have to say it was the hardest set i've heard any dj played... just can't get enough of his signature bassline :) |

| I saw him at GCSS 2001 and he really rocked on the night. Unfortunately it's a bit hard to tell though as to a dj's abilities when we're so secluded from the rest of the world as far as having good fresh music available to us but thats kinda cool in it's own way too. We're not as burned out on the whole thing as most people are in europe. I mean they have the worlds best music and dj's at their clubs weekly (Bleh!!) |
