I doubt a company would ever announce a price cut at a big event like this, because such action would automatically kill all sales up to the point in which the price cut would take place. Sony will announce the price cut instantaneously alongside when the price cut will also take place. At least that would make business sense to me.
Also, the slim PS3 seemed made-up from the start. I will give credit to those photos found on how they 'looked' considering the glare of the camera, etc. But the 'PS3' logo on the box was completely changed, plus expecting the slim edition before the next price cut seems a little crazy as well. |

| You can get a PS3 for less than 350 bucks routinely off of Dell's website every few weeks. It's more than worth it at that price IMO. |
