Myki

Wondering what peoples thoughts are on this overhaul of the current ticketing system which seems to be currently working fine.

Well personally i think it needs some improvement, it should be a good ticketing system once myki has all of its issues sorted.
Only used myki on ballarat bus system.
The card readers seem to be having isssues so obviously they are working to make it stable.

Also on the Myki Website, the infrastructure needs some work with server side programming etc.
I remember when first getting the card in the mail, i went to the website to see if my card was registered under my myki account and sometimes when i logged on the case was different each time.
It would say that i have a myki card registered, then another it would say i dont have any cards on this account. That went on for about a week.
Also for at least a month my card appeared as inactive which was bull, not sure what the go was there. Now it say's active.

So yer i hope they get better services going before all of victoria start using this myki. but they are only small issues im pointing out.

also atm i dont think its working out the cheapest fair for me.

do you know how long they've been working on this, how much money it's cost us, as the government has constantly needed to subsidise their retarded efforts to upgrade the system?

they ing employed some new company to create this new system out of nothing around 6 or 7 years ago, but the company didn't even have plans or anything, so they've taken this long just to get the machines onto the trams, and yet they STILL don't even work... they could've just bought the UK system and saved us all time and effort instead of the situation we have today...

metlink are ing idiots.

This is my point, i've had a concession card every year since Year 10, 5 years ago and they all said "until replaced by myki" which has always been a bit of a joke. I didnt realise till I saw the website that it was already being used in several areas.

I thought the maximum/cheapest fair was going to be like the maximum cost you would normally have to pay?

Also, this systems seems like it will be easier to fare evade with :) on trams that is, not buses and trains.
