i will be visiting sydney this saturday and staying there for about a week. the week after, i'll be spending 6 days in melbourne.
could anyone please recommend me some nice clubs or lounges that play to the likes of deep house/techno, dub raggae or jazz? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

hey buddy,
monday nights you have two options for reggae or jazz in Sydney
Paddy Mcguire has a wicked live reggae band and the place is full of brazilians (i'm there every monday to practice my portuguese ;) and free entry, great vibe to dance to
now there is also a place called "505" (level 5 apartment 5) which is an illegal underground jazz party held in an abandoned apartment block near central station, every week the best jazz bands in australia and you can take in your own alcohol (they supply the plastic cups) which is $10. but its more of a sit down and chill while they play wicked tunes, then in the break go smoke a joint on the balcony
both are great nights. |
