Ended up staying at Guv till closing at 8am so I completely missed The Junkies and Joee Cons :( When I showed up the place was going bananas for Carlo Lio and I immediately made my way to the center of the dance floor. Brilliant set as always. Mark Oliver was up next and his set was at least 200% better than his set from NYD. I was so pleased after being disappointed months ago. You have officially redeemed your Zone status, Mark. Come back soon! Everyone that stuck around seemed to really enjoy it but the crowd did seem to taper off a wee bit. I caught a bit of Joe Manzone's set before grabbing some lunch.

When I got back Deko-ze was just getting on and he pretty much got right to the hard :D By this point the crowd had picked back up and was full of energy. His set kind of took a dive towards the end but I'm sure he was just trying to please the diva vocal crowd that comes out every week to support him for Mass.

Stephen Voight followed with some good tunes but kind of lost the crowd for a little while in the middle. Towards the end of his set the tunes picked up again and he had me sold after he dropped Chiapet - Westworld (Skylark Mix).

.. and last but certainly not least Cam Maxwell came on to close the zoo down. Wicked set, Cam! All the TAs in attendance were going full force again after some nice chill out time on the patio (which was amusing to the say the least).

All in all - a fantastic morning/afternoon at le Czurch (even considering the Paco Osuna set fell through). The music was spot on, the crowd was awesome (and amusing) and there was a great group of TAs out rockin' it.

i love zone.

kotsy said it all for me...dekoze played some of the hardest tunes i've ever heard at zone, it was like 138bpm drum-in-tastic-tribal, mind-boggling

mark oliver played SOOOOOOOOOo much better than NYD, we were totally digging it

didn't like voigt too much, lost the flow

cam maxwell - officially my favorite local now :) its crazy, its like he plays exactly my style...hes like me, but DJ me :)

depending on what patio you chose to go on, they were both entertaining as hell

this is the first time i took my shirt off to dance since entrena + d-unity 2 years ago....

Im paying for it now but, I caught every single set yesterday. Totally worth it. Joee opened and it wasnt busy but within 45 mins it got pretty full.
Hard to pick just one fav...but for me the best were,
Carlo Lio
Joee Cons
Mark Oliver
Joe Manzone

But especially Mark and Joe, they were bananas and it was f***ing amazing hearing them play outta the guv.:D :D :D :D

Now going back to sleep for 20 hours.......
samhouse
damn...woulda liked to be there.
was the original plan.

really loved Mark's set, he sounded as if he plays there every week, his diversity always impresses me...

set of the day goes to the Junkies, Val set it up and Vince destroyed...

Well what a great day at the zone monday was! Didn't go out the night before and instead got a good night sleep, woke up at 8 and walked through the doors at 840. Junkies i think were just finishing up and there was a moderate sized crowd givener when i arrived.

Carlo Lio set had me going crazy within minutes, from the last time i saw him at footwork playing a seemlessly smooth set to a bangin base party vibe set, its great to see such diversity pulled off so well.

Next I think was manzone who was playin great but i kept going upstairs/inside/outside cant really say with certanty how his set was.

When Mark Oliver came on, thank god it was a million times better than his new years day set! Amelie is such a fun song to hear (had the privledge of listening to it twice that day) not to mention no shortage of dunity tracks from the days start to end.

Minds a little fuzzy this mornin, but next thing i remember was dekoze on deck. From calm cool and collected djs to energy tearin dekoze was the adrenaline rush i missed so much at the zone. What on earth was that muppets song remix. Ba na na na. do do do-do-do. Ba na na na. do do-do do! haha fun surpirse that was. Towards the end it went diva vocal (deep down inside) so we went outside to enjoyteh sun. The following dj...voight or something was fun, however thats when the weather felt at its peak so we couldnt resist hangin out on the patio soaking up some much needed sun. Last and far from least Maxwell came on :D TRRRIIBAAL parrrtyy :D Whats that song called which has the high whistle noise mixed in with pounding tribal beats? Was played twice that day and once again later at Cherry Beach...in a few sets from WMC but couldnt tell you from which djs...(yea im pretty useless at IDing songs) anyways, I had a blast until I was thrown into the real world too soon...i guess sometime after 5 they lock the front doors and anyone who leaves is not welcome back :( stupid cibc...why did u have to be so close and tempting?) Anyone else notice the swarm of indo/sketch bums just around the corner? creeped the crap outta me more than anything inside zone that day....well minus a few characters :S

Overall, the day was just what i had hoped it to be, and although the zone wasnt as busy as i imagined a long weekend holiday to be, the music was spot on. One final shout out to the swahili song for bringin the animal kingdom alive!!

They're new characters to the hood and have been around for a few days. They're quite aggressive. This morning they threw a beer bottle at me from across the street as I was walking to work.

To repeat what Stefan said....I <3 Zone!! :):):) Mannnnnn what an awesome day! I got there to catch the end of MO's set, and was very pleased. Dekoze rocked it too, but the peak of the day for me was, once again, Mister CAM MAXWELL'S set! I swear this one was even better than the last time I saw him  TRIBAL MADNESS!!!! The weather was so perfect for patio chillage too, so we spent a great deal of time in the sun watching some shenanigans happen. I was surprised at the amount of space there was in there, but hell, more room to dance around! :D The only disappointment was no Paco. :whip: That would have made the day absolutely perfect, but I seriously cannot complain about a killer good time had with amazing friends. :) <3 Happy birthday again Sarah, I hope you had a great one!!!

Cam-tasia constantly impresses me with his PROPER tribal/vocal infused sets. Well done buddy! I gotta get my ass down to zone for one of these legendary Maxwell sets I keep hearing about....!

Is it only wednesday?!
