@OP - Can I suggest "Peggle?"
It's one of my favorite "casual" games. It's hella chill, and you really don't need to be sober to be good.
Unfortunately, it is a Steam game if you hate steam, but you can DL a trial of it, where you can play 1 hr max. It's cheap and fun, and if you really really want, you can pirate it also.
Peggle Extreme is FREE too. One could say it's a demo version, but it's pretty solid of one.

Black & White was maybe the most amazing and engrossing game ever made... for about the first hour of play. It never quite picks up after that. |

thanks for the suggestions.
i already have all of the leisure suit larrys:p
this would be for pc, i am a little ummm old to be buying game consoles, although i did play red alert (used to love that game on ps1) this weekend on ps3 getting smashed with a friend. |
If you're not too old to get trashed with friends on the weekend, you're definitely not too old to be buying game consoles. :p
If you're just looking for a neat game to kill some time and some weed on, try this:

Maybe not what you were asking for, but it really blurs the line between video games and music. I bet a lot of people here would actually dig it. Plus, it's only $10. :o
// it, here's a listing of games Steam offers for direct download:

You are sure to find something that interests you if you poke around. And you don't even have to leave your chair! |

As Halcyon mentioned, check the Indie game section in the Steam store, lots of cheap timewasters in there.
A lot of the Sim games are great for this too and if you don't feel like paying / hunting down the older games you can probably just find them online somewhere. Sim City 2000 has always been a favorite of mine, Sim Tower is sick too. Simulation games like Civilization and things of that nature are great for relaxing as well.
edit:(wow all this stuffs been mentioned, oh well) |
