Ostrich Biography

A part of a younger generation of artists, Nadir Agha (aka Ostrich) found
passion for art, especially in music and films. It wasn’t until 2003 when
Montreal-based artist Ostrich explored the depths of his talents as a DJ,
producer, and an aspiring filmmaker. His sound carries various funk-
flavored elements of techno that is bounded by deep house, categorizing
itself as deep tech-house. His narrative approach to DJ sets under the
Ostrich moniker, allows his art to speak through music. His first release
generated a lot of interest and was released on Bosphorus Underground.
Dabbling on remixing duties throughout the past few months, Ostrich
produced cuts for Argentinean label, Miniatura Records in addition to
Toronto-based Open Concept Recordings. Nadir runs a digital non-profit
label, Buy You Sell Me. The aim of this label is to donate all proceeds to a
charity of the featured artist's choice, as their motto indicates their goal,
"Patching things up one track at a time."
