This game looks great, but I think after 20 mins of play, thats about all it has. Too much hype for this thing.
Other than the revenge bar and the focus bar, you're right there isn't much new. But people play these fighting games not for the bells and whistles but for it's balance and easy to learn, hard to master system. It reminds me of Mario Kart where anyone can enjoy the game on the surface level, but to be good enough to compete, it takes a lot of hours of practice.

The game is amazing, though it's pretty tough!
It took me 3 hours to beat Seth with Dhalsim... on "easy" mode.
(I beat him in 15 min with Ryu:) )

Haha, truth! That's why I've still yet to pick up Dead or Alive 4 on 360.
Also, Scottaculous, PS3 and 360 players cannot compete against each other due to the different structures their respective online services are based on. (the PSN is an open platform, Live is closed, etc.)

I just started working with the combo training challenge feature last night... SO SO sick. There is so much to this game, I wish I had the time to master all the characters (or even just a few of them!)

What did Gouken say to Ken when Ryu failed to do a dragon punch?
