ps. add "&fmt=18" without the quotation mark at the end of the url to get it in slightly better quality. Do this with music and you get ing awesome audio clarity :D

the cached wikipedia entry mentions:
quote:
PC version will feature:* 32 player (16 vs 16) in addition to the 256 NPC squad members (8 per squad per player)

(cached since it seems the information came from a leak, which is prohibited from being posted on the current wikipedia edit.)

It'd be neat if it had a FarCry2-sque campaign. Get dropped in on a tour of duty, complete a story driven campaign in real time with no "menus", wage the war, and eventually go home.

Wow. Looks neato.

too hardcore for me.

I'm always amazed by the ammount of detail devellopers put in games these days. Yeah, it looks like a faithful simulation, but realism in games tends to turn them into borefests, and ultimate realism creates the ultimate borefest. This isn't to mention that realistic war games are a dead horse that's had more than enough time to stink the place up and decompose completely (or has everyone just gotten used to the foul smell?).

I feel like this is just going to be another Crysis; incredible visuals, physics, attention to detail, unmemorable gameplay. It was a great piece of software both in terms of it's potential as a benchmark and magical enlargement pill for your cyberpenis, just not so great of a game.

I can't wait for creative people to get their hands on this technology though.

It's unlikely to be anything like Crysis tbh. The original was more like a first person RTS and had very complex mission building capabilities.

It's also worth looking at a game called ARMA 2 which is made by the original Op Flashpoint team, as Operation Flashpoint 2 was developed by Codemasters and had nothing to do with the first game.

You haven't played the first one have you?

....however.....new developers can often up a sequel ie Deus Ex 2 :( :( :(
Not that it was a bad game but it did pale in comparison to the masterpiece that was Deus Ex
