This is a must-attend event for all you house heads out there. Many of you know that I've been laying down mini-tech beats for a while now, but I'm going to roll out a special deep/tech house set for this one. On top of that, it's Alan's birthday as well as the end of my birthday week, so get your asses down to King King and buy us drinks! You can sign up for the guestlist via the info above or simply go to http://myspace.com/djbrianscott and fill out the form.
I take the decks from midnight til 1:00, warming things up for Eric Kupper. |

Kosho picked up his first pair of turntables when he was 16 years old, spinning old skool funk and a bit of disco. Now over a decade later, you can still experience a bit of funk and some disco in his creative electro funk sets.
Kosho is best known as the co-founder of nexxez and club RED. RED became the longest Friday night after-hours in Los Angeles and recently celebrated its 7th anniversary at Circus Disco in Hollywood in July of 2008. RED has also been named the best after-hours spot in Los Angeles by New Times Magazine three years running and have been featured in prestigious publications like the L.A. Times, L.A. Weekly and L.A. City Beat just to name a few.
Kosho has shared the decks with various DJ’s on DJ Mag’s top 100 DJ’s, including but not limited to: Paul Van Dyk, Christopher Lawrence, Judge Jules, Mauro Picotto, Yoji Biomehanika, Bad Boy Bill, Donald Glaude and DJ Dan. He is a regular at super-clubs like Spundae and Avalon held residencies at Sky Sushi in Hollywood, Space 550 in San Francisco, RA in Las Vegas and of course RED.
Kosho is down to earth and when he is not on the decks, you will see him at the closest bar, downing shots with his fans and friends. If you want to get to know him, be prepared to get drunk as he debuts at the decks of INCOGNITO@King King! |

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Brian Scott was always surrounded by amazing music of all genres. But it wasn’t until he was a freshman in college that he truly appreciated electronic dance music. His already extensive music collection began to grow as he added CDs and MP3s from artists like The Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, and The Prodigy. Over the next few years, Brian found himself frequenting many of the major EDM clubs in Hollywood and eventually became close friends with many DJs, music producers, and event promoters. He didn’t know it at the time, but his lifestyle would eventually lead him to become the DJ he is today. In early 2004, the final piece of the puzzle fell into place as Brian relocated to the beach community of Santa Monica. His new roommate was also an EDM junkie and possessed a pair of Technics 1200MK2 turntables and a worn-down Gemini mixer. After purchasing a few house records and teaching himself how to utilize the mixer and tables, Brian had found the tools to express himself in a way he never imagined.
In the few short years of Brian’s DJ career, he has already had the opportunity to play in some of the most prestigious venues in Hollywood – including Giant @ Vanguard, Spundae @ Circus, and Avalon. Brian's enjoyment of varying genres within electronic music has led to a diverse DJ style – ranging from minimal and techno to tech-house, electro and more. His track selection and unique ability to blend several different genres have been proven to keep the dance floor moving. Industry players have begun to take notice as Brian has shared billing with the likes of Paul Oakenfold, Deep Dish, Armin Van Buuren, Christopher Lawrence, Roger Sanchez, and many others. He has held down residencies at many of Hollywood’s most popular EDM clubs. In March, 2007, he was first runner-up in LA Weekly’s annual DJ Spin-Off Contest.
Brian continues to spin regularly in the Los Angeles and Hollywood areas while he hones his production skills. Always the self-starter, he is educating himself in computer-based music production while incorporating his own edits and remixes into his DJ sets. He is currently spending time in the studio producing his first few tracks along with production partner Blake Eggleston. Expect their EP to be released in March 2009.
Brian Scott is also the founder and managing partner of 4:SCORE Entertainment, which specializes in event production and artist management within the electronic dance music scene. His combination of business savvy and floor-shaking DJ talent should prove to be highly successful in the future. If he continues on the same path, the future is very close at hand. |
