2 tracks, need helpi

Hey,
I have two tracks up...but I need some mastering insight. First, I keep getting ringing coming off the bass or the kick. Second, even though ive been getting them to sound a lot more 'crisp' since when i started, its still not good enough!!

First off - good stuff - I prefer Quiet Thoughts, but that's just because it's more my thing.
my 2cents....
Could hear any ringing but found the bass frequencies a little bit muddy. The perc sits nicely and the sounds fit together well, but the delay on the atmospheric sound before the speech samples doesn't sound right at all - I know it's for effect, but I can't help thinking or hearing that it needs to be synced with the bpm. it just sounds like the tune isn't programmed properly when that comes in and totally distracted from the rest of the elements. The crowd noise was just a little bit too loud in the mix in relation to the other sounds.
As for mastering the tracks sound good - maybe just apply some careful multiband compression but other than that very little.
...anyway, what the do I know? |
