1864 - American Civil War: Sherman's March to the Sea - At Waynesboro, Georgia, forces under Union General Judson Kilpatrick prevent troops led by Confederate General Joseph Wheeler from interfering with Union General William T. Sherman's campaign destroying a wide swath of the South on his march to the Atlantic Ocean from Atlanta, Georgia. Union forces did suffer more than three times the Confederate casualties, however.

Sage Rosenfels comes in the game in the 2nd half, and drove a comeback from 20 points down to score 3 touchdowns in the 4th quarter to beat the Buffalo Bills 24-23. It was the 2nd win of their 6 game winning streak to end the season. Unfortunately, the Dolphins missed the playoffs
1994
Buffalo beats Miami in a shootout 42-31. Miami lead 17-7 at halftime before Buffalo scored 35 2nd half points. Miami does go to the playoffs, but loses to the Chargers 22-21 in the Divisional Playoffs.
1988
Colts nip the Dolphins 31-28. Dolphins were down 28-14 at the end of the 3rd quarter before Marino throws 2 touchdowns in the 4th quarer, but fall 3 points short. Dickerson has 31 carries for 169 yards and a touchdown. Marino goes 26 for 32 for 304 and a touchdown.

Dolphins beat the Oilers 24-17. The Dolphins come back from 17-10 down in the 3rd quarter to score 2 touchdowns in the 4th quarter.
1981
Eddie is born on a Friday. On Sunday, the Dolphins beat the Patriots @ Miami 24-14. Dolphins dominate the game, allowing only 256 total yards, and Tony Nathan helps the Dolphins by carrying the ball 17 times for 119 yards. To note, Eddie Hill, a backup running back for the Dolphins, scored his only reception touchdown from David Woodley.
