see this is where things suck...we did a disco party last saturday and it was intense. i recorded the hole night. 4.5hrs of none stop Steve Rubell studio 54 Disco.

I remember going to a disco house night around this time last year at this small place called Harlem. It was good times.

It would have been sick to have lived through disco. This rave era thing that happened in the 90's doesn't really come close to the disco generation. I mean for one, hard drugs weren't taboo! :cool: And the polyester was to die for.
Saturday night fever is one of my top 5 movies of all time.

Even Danny Howells didn't have to change it much when he remixed it.
I should have been partying at the Paradise Garage in the 70's and 80's with Larry Levan...so in love with disco music.
Some of it hasn't aged well, but most of it is timeless.

Wish I experienced the real thing with Studio 54 in NYC and all the fun. Anyway, the closest I can relate was back in the early 90's RPM (The GUV now) had their weekly Disco Thursday night for several years. It was the most packed and fun night of the week.
These days people complain of the Skasians at the GUV. Not much has changed because Disco Thursday was packed with Filipinos, however, it had the coolest mix of people each week. Older true discoers from the actual 70's brought their polyester attire back with them for this weekly night. I miss RPM!!! :crazy:

Great movie, it was nominated for best picture and best actor John Travolta back in 1977. It lost to Woody Allen's ANNIE HALL.
