Do you believe there is a U.S. government cover-up surrounding 9/11?

| Of course. The US attacks on 2001 September 11 only gave 'justification' to the whole Bush administration and allowed the gov't to take advantage of a large portion of the population whilst the events were still on their mind. |

Do you mean to say that 9/11 was actually like a "New Pearl Harbor?" :eyes: |

Democratic Underground had a similar, but more specific POLL that I found from a couple of years back.

11. Who would call such a catastrophe "lucky"?
"Bush, in the weeks before September 11, pledged to honor the sanctity of the Social Security lockbox except in the event of recession, war, or a national emergency. But after "everything changed" on 9/11, he reportedly gloated to his budget director, Mitch Daniels, "Lucky me--I hit the trifecta!" At the time, this comment (a variation of which is being recycled for laughs at current GOP fundraisers) seemed merely offensive. But in light of revelations that Bush's August 6 briefing memo was titled "Bin Laden Determined to Strike U.S.," Bush's "luck" and weird prescience are worth more than passing scrutiny. "

Why does this board always have the same topics in 3 different threads at the same time?
That being said, do you really think the U.S. government could put such a mammoth conspiracy together without it ever being found out? One which involve some of it's participants commiting suicide in order to carry it out? One that would mean certain death for those who were found to have been involved in this "Grand Conspiracy"? And just where would they find all these Americans in the various branches of services willing to kill their innocent fellow Americans? And all these people are going to keep this secret? And what for? To have an "excuse" to attack another country and start a war? What about the Iraq war? By most people's take, the U.S. manufactured the whole WMD's argument...so why would the government need to kill thousands of it's own people and destroy so much property, just to start a war, when it would be a LOT easier to just make up an excuse?
DO YOU SEE HOW FREAKIN IDIOTIC THIS SOUNDS!?!?!!? |

Dude, I've been listening to how idiotic you sound ever since you brought your loudmouth with no brains COR mentality over here.
Try looking at the subject matter scientifically rather than emotionally.
It would seem that many people have denied the existence of many things throughout the ages, despite whether they were true or not. It would behoove you to do a little more research on things before you open your mouth, but I guess you just enjoy commenting about things that you really don't seem to know much about.
Your persistence is certainly commendable, I will give you that much. I mean, you definitely know how to derail thread topics pretty quickly. It's probably a little bit harder to do here than it was in the COR, though. |
