Luck smiles on lotto winners

TORONTO - Jason Rinaldi, part owner of Hitman Hotrods, is shifting gears in a big way after netting a cool $35.3 million in last night’s LOTTO 6/49 draw.

“I went into work this morning and checked my numbers on the Internet. I gave it a quick look and thought I hadn’t won. Slowly I realized my numbers were matching the ones on the screen.

“I stared in total disbelief then checked again another three times. I called my family, telling them the fantastic news and of course they didn’t believe me,” Rinaldi told OLG Prize Centre staff in Toronto when he claimed his prize.

“Gosh! I wish I would have known I was going to win, I would have dressed better,” Rinaldi joked. “I’m a single man after all.”

Rinaldi has only been playing these numbers for a month and was thinking of stopping, but then considered giving them one last go.

A big fan of the movie “Good Will Hunting” he’s been known to tell his business partner: “If you ever come into work one morning and I’m not here, you’ll know I’ve won the lottery.”

And it turns out, that’s what happened.

“When I didn’t show up this morning, he didn’t clue in and I had to call him several times before he believed I was a winner,” added Rinaldi.

Tomorrow morning, he plans to pick up the keys to his 2009 Black Corvette

I saw this yesterday and it made me pissed (because i didn't win) although i won 5$ prior and bought 2 lines but no luck..

I am glad someone young finally one.. the guy looks like my age!

omg.. if i won, i would buy one of those abandoned factories in Toronto get a Ginormous sound system and have free drinks free food and lots of lazors !!!! hahaha,, it would be a free party of course.

I can see the guy getting a corvette,, mee I would go with a Lambo for sure and then probably a maserati for my regular ride.

I love how people who are already making good money win this like this...

Where does it say he's making good money?

I'd love to win just even a small amount...enough to be student loan free and put a down payment on a house. I know someone who won $75K on a scratch ticket and that's exactly what he did. (so jealous.)

Seems like scratch tickets are the way to go. I know THREE people who won playing them in the last year.
