I've long thought this to be true but at least now someone in our government is publically saying it.
Of course you're not going to see much media coverage on it
just like you probably haven't seen or heard much of anything about
the rallies or public demonstrations against the bailout itself.

Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-OH) warns the American people
about Constitutional enemies of the Republic
and the fraudulent trillion(s) dollar bailout.

“My message to the American people don’t let Congress seal this Wall Street deal.
High financial crimes have been committed.”

“The normal legislative process has been shelved. Only a few insiders
are doing the dealing, sounds like insider trading to me. These
criminals have so much political power they can shut down the normal
legislative process of the highest law making body of this land.”

“We are Constitutionally sworn to protect and defend this Republic
against all enemies foreign and domestic. And my friends there are
enemies.”

“The people pushing this deal are the very ones who are responsible
for the implosion on Wall Street. They were fraudulent then and they
are fraudulent now.”

I share a similar semtiment here - I simply cant believe that those institutions who make massive amounts of money on interest alone have failed so quickly. And yes, trying to pass this legislature so quickly and with the same culprits behind the bailout attempt is just terrible. Doesn't seem like the lady had her effect on those present, in this video.

I thought this little analogy was fitting.

I don't know if this is how you really catch wild pigs
but the analogy seems to work.

--------------------------------------------

Catching Wild Pigs

A Chemistry Professor had some
exchange students in his class.

One day while the class was in the lab
the Professor noticed one young man,
an exchange student, who kept rubbing his back
and stretching as if his back hurt.

The professor asked the young man what was
the matter. The student told him he had a
bullet lodged in his back.

He said he had been shot while fighting communists
in his native country.

The communists were trying to overthrow his country's
government and install a new communist government.

In the midst of his story he looked at
the professor and asked a strange question.

He asked, "Do you know how to catch wild pigs?"

The professor thought it was a joke and asked
for the punch line. The young man said this was no joke.

"You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place
in the woods and putting corn on the ground.
The pigs find it and begin to come everyday
to eat the free corn.

When they are used to coming every day,
you put a fence down one side of the feeding area.

When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat
the corn again and you put up another side of the fence.

They get used to that and start to eat again.

You continue until you have put up all four sides
of the fence and add a gate.

The pigs, once used to the free corn inside the fencing,
start to come through to eat;

you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.

Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom.

They run around and around inside the fence,
but they are caught.

Soon they go back to eating the free corn.

They are so used to it they have forgotten
how to forage in the woods for themselves,
so they accept their captivity.

The young man then told the professor that
is exactly what he sees happening to America.

The government keeps pushing us toward socialism
and keeps spreading the free corn in the form
of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit
for unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies,
payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine,
drugs, etc...

While we continually lose our freedoms

-- just a little at a time.

One should always remember: There is no such thing
as a free lunch!

Also, a politician will never provide a service for you
cheaper than you can provide it for yourself.

There seems to be a lot of lone voices that have been crying in the wilderness but very few who get any kind of mainstream media attention.

It seems we're all living in a bubble and reality has become more or less just a mass of competing fictions.

Watching the news, the story only seems to change a little bit from storyteller to storyteller until you turn off the television and make a dedicated effort to find out what's really going on.

It takes some digging to find those dissenting voices but they're definitely there.

I was actually amazed that I found this on the Fox Business blogspot:

Ron Paul Sees Great Depression

By Cheryl Casone

Today, we had Representative Ron Paul on the Noon show. He serves on the Joint Economic Committee where Ben Bernanke testified this morning. He had an interesting discussion with Helicopter Ben this morning, and I asked him about it. What I find interesting is that Ron Paul fears we are heading toward another Great Depression, and Ben Bernanke is a student of the Great Depression. You would think the two men agree on certain issues, but during our interview Ron Paul did not disappoint, and told us EXACTLY what he thinks of the Federal Reserve:

At least millions of people are now aware of our traitors! Hopefully we can soon start routing them out!!

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear."

I like this one, too:

"The lion cannot protect himself from traps, and the fox cannot defend himself from wolves.
One must therefore be a fox to recognize traps, and a lion to frighten wolves."
