CUBASE SX SL Question

Since Cubase uses standard project files, I guess you shouldn't have any problem using them on another system. The only problem you could have is that plugins etc. on the other system (SX) are differently installed and that the SL version cannot find them.

It should do but some automation features probably won't work and I think there were some changes to the mixer section between the two versions. Other than that it should be OK.

I don't think this will work. My production partner used SX2 on a Mac and I used SX3 on a PC and my projects would not open on his Cubase SX2 on his Mac. I think you can open older versions on newer versions but not vice versa.

That's correct. Files between SX2 and SX3 are not immediately interchangeble. Between SX3 and SL3 they are..

Try this, quite useful.....

!!!! I have an hour to finish this, and now I find out that the interchange from SX3 to SL1 may not be possible.

This is weird.. is the left collumb from and the top row to. or the other way around?

Both - it shows what is compatible by program name.

on the left should be the application and on the top the project-file format.
